A line running from north-east India through the archipelago. The same tree along all of it, changed by the soil it stands in and the water it drinks — which is why origin is the first thing on a listing and not the last.

Two pieces of the same grade from two of these places are not substitutes for each other. Anyone who has burned both knows it within a minute.
